About the Elite Leadership Summit
What are the dates of the event?
The dates for the 2017 Elite Leadership Summit are April 6-7, 2017 (to be considered, apply here). The Elite Leadership Summit will kick off on Thursday evening with a fantastic dinner and social event, while Friday morning will usher in our guest speakers and leadership content, and will wrap up early evening!
Where is the event being held?
The Elite Leadership Summit will be taking place in Houston, Texas at Mattress Firm BedQuarters, located at 10201 South Main Street, Houston, Texas 77025.
What does the agenda look like?
We are still building this year's dynamic agenda and speaker line-up. Rest assured, it will be action-packed!
What expenses will Mattress Firm cover for the event?
This time, it's on us! Mattress Firm will assume the cost of airfare + hotel accommodations + transportation + meals.
What meals will be provided?
Everything's bigger in Texas, and so are the meals! We will be providing you with dinner on Thursday night, along with breakfast and lunch on Friday.
Can you accommodate special dietary needs?
We want to make sure that your time in Houston is comfortable! You will have the opportunity to indicate any special dietary needs on your registration. We are happy to accommodate your request!

When is the application deadline for the Elite Leadership Summit?
The application window for the 2017 Elite Leadership Summit closes on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 11:59pm. Submit your application today here!
What is the selection process?
A selection committee of Mattress Firm team members will diligently review each of the applications (apply here!) submitted and determine the exclusive group that will be joining us for the event.
When and how will I be notified if I am selected to attend?
We will be notifying those selected to attend by phone! For those that were not selected for this year's Elite Leadership Summit, we will be notifying you by email and we encourage you to apply again next year!
What to Pack
What is the dress code?
Dress code for the Thursday night events is snappy casual. What does that mean? Nice jeans, maybe some khakis, and a nice collared shirt, blouse or dress. Dress code for Friday will be business professional.
What is the weather going to be like?

What should I bring with me?
Beyond the normal (clothes, toiletries, etc.), feel free to bring a notepad or iPad. Refrain from bringing a laptop, as it might get in the way.
Accommodations & Travel
What hotel will I be staying at?
Hotel accommodations are currently being determined.
Speaking of hotel, will I have my own room?
We want to make sure that you have an opportunity to get to know student leaders from across the nation while attending the Elite Leadership Summit! For this reason, each attendee should expect to share a hotel room with one other attendee of the same gender. Live in or around the Houston area? The choice is yours if you would like to stay in the hotel on Thursday night.
I'm driving in for the event. Will I receive financial assistance for this?
If you will be driving 50+ miles round-trip to attend the event, we would be happy to provide financial assistance for driving.
How will I get to and from the airport, hotel and/or events?
Transportation will be provided to and from each of these locations, so no need to worry about driving in Houston traffic!
What if I've never flown before?
Not a problem! We all had to start sometime. Check out this First-Time Flyers Guide, and you'll be an airport expert in no time!
Who do I notify if I have travel delays or problems to/from the event?
Oh no, your flight is delayed! Please reach out to one of our program coordinators, whose information will be provided in your acceptance email.
